Introducing etnies

For Summer ’14, we at USC are excited to present to you an impressive range of footwear from the pioneering skate brand, etnies.

etnies are in no way new to the game, having been established by ex-skateboarder Pierre-Andre Senizergues back in 1986. Applying scientific research and innovative technology, his and the brands vision since then has been to develop the most protective and comfortable skate shoes, all without disregarding style; which we all know is just as essential.

We’ve got you covered with their latest collection for this season, so take a look at the key styles below…

The Highlight

Constructed with the trademark STI (Sole Technology Institute) Evolution Foam in the footbed, insole and outsole, it’s easy to see and feel why the Highlight was recently announced as its most lightweight and flexible shoe ever. Add that to the moisture wicking lining to allay odours, along with TPR heel wrap and inner sock bootie to provide that extra support, then you’ve got one hell of a skate shoe on your, errr, feet…

The Highlight comes in a suede/synthetic upper in Navy and Black/Camo for SS14.

The Scout

New for Spring 2014, the Scout has pulled inspiration from modern running silhouettes to create a more casual shoe, suitable both on and off the board. With its thin mesh upper and fully lined interior, along with the STI Evolution Foam midsole and Foam Lite footbed, the Scout allows for maximum breathability and comfort. What’s more, this shoe is one of many that is part of the Buy A Shoe, Plant A Tree initiative.

Footwear that supports both you and the planet? Talk about innovation.

The Scout is available in Dark Navy, Blue/Orange, Grey/White, Black/Red and Black/White.

Jameson 2 and Jameson 2 Eco

One of etnies best selling profiles, the Jameson 2 skate shoe comes in a standard version and an eco-friendly, vegan version. Whilst the Jameson 2 features a vulcanised cupsole, a Foam Lite footbed and rubber outsole, the Jameson 2 Eco is built from recycled materials. A faux-vulc cupsole, recycled PET laces and a recycle rubber outsole, along with cork-lined Foam footbeds, gives the Jameson 2 Eco an extra, imaginative dimension. They might look super basic, but they are seriously comfortable.

The Jameson 2 comes in Royal Blue, Burgundy and Black/White.
The Jameson 2 Eco is available in Dark Navy, Blue/White and Black/Grey.

….and the rest.

The
Marana is one of etnies most durable and supportive skateboarding profiles, with its reinforced toe cap and Evolution Foam making it a popular choice amongst skaters and equally as adept as a casual trainer. If it’s a slim, deconstructed style or narrow profile you’re after, then the Barge LS or the RCT, respectively, are for you.
